Last Saturday I needed to get more ammo for my sig, so somehow I convinced everyone to go to Bass Pro with me to get some. Jack took the kids downstairs while I went to the counter. Before checking out, I found the Smith & Wesson MP 380 Shield EZ that I've really liked shooting at the club in the cabinet. I made the mistake of asking an employee if I could look at it (it was the version I've been wanting—both grip and thumb safety).

As soon as they handed it to me I knew I was going to get it. I still have a good amount of Christmas and allowance money saved up, and while I hated dropping large chunks like that all at once... it was on sale. I called Jack up, offered several apologies for taking longer, and then told the counter I'd get it. Early birthday present for me, I guess. And I found a perk to my birthday (19th) being so close to Father's Day—guns go on sale, lol.

And now I have three. I really want a standard size handgun, but for the time being I'll avoid trying those out, because I'd like to let my poor savings account recover a bit.
